Lauren was born and raised in Lumberton, North Carolina, and is a proud member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. Inspired by the strong women in her life—her grandmother, mother, and older sister—she was shaped by their kindness, compassion, and humility.
Lauren earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2012. Driven by a lifelong interest in women’s health and early inspiration from a Physician Assistant, she went on to complete her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Methodist University in 2016. She is a board-certified Physician Assistant and an active member of both the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
In her practice, Lauren is passionate about women’s health with a special interest in whole-body wellness—balancing physical activity, nutrition, and mental well-being. She sees patients for annual wellness exams from adolescence through menopause, and also provides care in pregnancy management, contraception, menstrual disorders, and other gynecological concerns.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her energetic son and their large extended family. She is an active volunteer in her church’s community and rural outreach programs. She also enjoys traveling, cheering on Carolina basketball, and spending time outdoors.
